Ellen Degeneres and Portia De Rossi

Being a lesbian must make things so much more interesting.
I mean- i'm beginning to think the whole man and woman falling in love thing is so boring. So monotonous... You know?

Just a thought....

Firm University Place at Barts!

OMG!!!

Today i firmed my place at Barts University of Medicine and Dentistry (Queen Mary's, University London)! Which basically means i put it down as my first choice.

I've put Manchester down as my insurance.

My first exam (Mechanics) is on monday... less than two weeks!!! I really need to be getting at least a B in this exam (to stay on target for an overall A).

*sigh* all i can do now is study study study... and then study a bit more. joy!

Lea Salonga, as Eponine in Les Miserables

The first time i ever saw Lea Salonga perform was on our tv at home with my sister and mum, watching the special 10th Anniversary Concert of Les Miserables.
Seeing Lea perform 'On My Own' actually sent shivers down my spine. It is probably one of the best  things i ever seen... ever.

She's soo super talented! Makes me proud to call myself part Fili!

:D

Shrek the Musical: I Know It's Today

Sutton Foster- Fiona in Shrek the musical. I believe she won an award for this. Pretty brilliant. I love this song!
I'm going through some kind of Sutton Foster obsession at the moment. Evidently.
You will probably be getting a lot of Sutton posts soon...
Just a warning...

Coathanger Sculpture

Sally: A 'C'? A 'C'? I got a 'C' on my coathanger sculpture? How could anyone get a 'C' in coathanger sculpture? May I ask a question? Was I judged on the piece of sculpture itself? If so, is it not true that time alone can judge a work of art? Or was I judged on my talent? If so, is it fair that I be judged on a part of my life over which I have no control? If I was judged on my effort, then I was judged unfairly, for I tried as hard as I could! Was I judged on what I had learned about this project? If so, then were not you, my teacher, also being judged on your ability to transmit your knowledge to me? Are you willing to share my 'C'? Perhaps I was being judged on the quality of coathanger itself out of which my creation was made...now is this not also unfair? Am I to be judged by the quality of coathangers that are used by the drycleaning establishment that returns our garments? Is that not the responsibility of my parents? Should they not share my 'C'? (SFX: the teachers voice is heard offstage [brief unintelligible squawk voice mixed with electronic static)) Thank you, Miss Othmar. (to audience) The squeaky wheel gets the grease! (exits)

♥ Big Band Theory

Sheldon is in my opinion one of the greatest television characters ever created!

Sorry, if it's a bit small- you may want to zoom in, alternatively go to the official DeviantArt page of petite-madame. It's pretty brilliant!

Iron Man 2

Yeah, I'm back. It was awesome. They showed me.
Loads of action. Me likey. Humour from Robert Downing Jr- me likey very much! More Shield agents- yup, the whole scherbang!

You're A Good Man Charlie Brown

Yesterday i saw an amateur production of this musical down at Putney Arts Centre- and it was pretty ace! Like, i only paid £7 for my ticket- and what they didn't have in accent or strength in voice they certainly made up for with effort, and awesomeness!!!

:D We (my family) just sat throughout the whole thing with these massive smiles stuck to our faces. ear to ear. it was pretty epic.

NE-ways (i know, i hate it when people write 'anyways' like that. sucks. fo real) Just wanted to bring ya'll back to the first moment i fell in love with 'You're A Good Man Charlie Brown' - back just over two years ago. I'd just watched Kristin Chenoweth's (Whom i adore with my entire being- she is one of my favourite people here on earth. seriously.) 'Popular' on YouTube. Which happens to be the moment i fell in love with Wicked (the musical) and Kristin Chenoweth herself... neways- i then found a link to her performance as Sally Brown, Charlie's sister in her charming performance at the Tony's (1999) - i believe she won an award that night for that very role. What followed was crazyness as I found the other songs to the musical (i now know them all- inside out). Man i love this play.

Here's the very clip i saw those years ago (we're reliving history here people!):

-sorry about the quality- t'was the best i could find folks!
