OMGSH!!!! it's like soooo hot! been wearing skirts for the past two days (which i don't think i've done for a normal school day at school.... since... ever!) :O
it's been 30 degrees celsius for the past two days here.... 30 degrees!!!!
and our school is strange in that it wont allow anyone to wear shorts... so, girls are perfectly ok wearing mini skirts- but if a guy was to show up in 3/4 length shorts or even nice tailored shorts they would be told off, and possibly sent home... it doesn't really make sense to me. Anyway, the prefect team are trying to address the issue.... hope it's not a lost cause!

uhuh... yesterday at badminton i was exhausted just after the warm up! man, this heat really takes it out of you...
and i'm seeing Avenue Q tonight! Yay! Avenue Q! It's supposed to be really funny and kinda rude- which is kinda cool.. i guess.
Anyway, shall tell you more upon my return! now, to find something that i can wear that wont kill me from the heat- whilst still being somewhat appropriate for the theatre... hmm....

Michael Jackson's death
:( Michael Jackson died last thursday (25th June, 2009)- so four days ago.
It was about 11:30pm, i was upstairs brushing my teeth and getting ready for bed. My lil bro comes upstairs and says 'Michael Jackson is dead'. Wow, i was pretty shocked. Can't really tell you how much. First thing i felt was disbelief... i ran downstairs, and my sister and mum were watching the bbc news. It had huge 'Just in' messages all over it, and 'Live here from Los Angeles'... and all that stuff....
and then one of those news men said, 'it has been confirmed that Michael Jackson died today, when he suffered from a cardiac arrest in his hotel room...'
it was pretty much like the time stopped... and i was completely speechless. all i could say was "what...?" and "how....?"
i don't think anyone saw it coming.

The most distinct childhood memory i had of him was when i was just a baby (don't know how old) and whenever 'Heal the World' came on, i'd just stop whatever i was doing and move to the front of the tv. and i'd put my hands on the screen and be mesmerized.... :)
so it's sad. and he was about to do a huge tour too- here at the O2
poor fans who bought tickets will be gutted.
woke up the day after, and turned on the radio- almost every station was blasting out old MJ classics... that made me get upset all over again- i'd forgotten what had happened.
hope he knew how much people loved and adored him. may he rest in peace.

Stupid blog templates... rhghuihgsuhgfhsg
Grr! getting so frustrated with these stupid templates! There are not enough to pick from! So i look out of this site for other templates... spend ages... finally pick one! and what happens...? oh yeah, that's right! stupid weird writing appears at the top of my blog, sponsoring some website!
then i try to see if i can remove it by going to that weird html place... again, spend a long time trying that out! dsugbirbyegbrgyuerbyuuybuyvebyeur
try looking for other templates, but realize i've lost the will to. So, now i've barely updated in this blog because everytime i look at it, i get angry at the stupid template! Then i pick another one, finally- and it doesn't let people comment! what the heck?!

Breakfast
ok, this is a much loved blog. I think you can tell by the constant updates!
Anyway, here is what i had for breakfast the other day:

-crunchy peanut butter, banana slices and honey on top- for one of them
-Emmental cheese slices (slightly melted on top of toast), and various berries cut into little pieces (strawberry, blueberry, raspberry and blackberry)

ok... so after walking around my house for a while, i got tired and sat down and decided to scan in some drawings i'd done. This was at approx. 1:45am...
Then i uploaded one onto DeviantART, (check DA out! It's seriously cool! www.deviantart.com/) yup! if you haven't heard about it, it's the biggest online art community! you upload art- and people comment. Everyone's really nice! what a lovely place.
In the end i found my keys! but i was way too tired to do a victory dance.... only 5 hours of sleep... good times.... and i had to get up early for a violin lesson...
hmm... maybe i'll sleep today. *collapses*

Blog Template
Not too happy with this blog template... the colours just aren't working for me.

Assembly!
...ok... i didn't know this would end up being such an essay... below is just my crazy rambling and recalling of a quite small little thing that happened today. but i was pretty nervous about doing this assembly, so it's quite important to me... anyway, read on at own risk!! :O
Wow, had to speak in part of an assembly today. To be honest, i'd been dreading doing this assembly- you see a couple of months ago i was pretty ill and couldn't come to school. This meant that i missed a prefect/ senior students meeting, and apparently they decided that it was time to do an assembly where the person speaking would moan to the rest of the year about our sixthform common room and the mess. And guess what, they all nominated ME! I wasn't even there! mean right? -hehe, i'm being pretty dramatic, apparently it was for a good reason, because they thought i'd do a good job. which is always nice.
Anyway, i tried preparing the speech yesterday, and was just saying roughly what i wanted to say out loud. And my mum heard and said, 'No, don't do it like that. Be more straightforward, don't sugar-coat it!' and all that. So i completely changed my approach to it. Then later on my sister heard me saying it (this was at about 1-2am in the morning), she came into my room and said, 'No, no. Not like that. Just be more casual, and she told me how to phrase it.' I got kinda frustrated because i'd just changed it. But here's the thing i've learned- my sis is right in pretty much everything she advices... it's freaky.... :O
So i went to school with a different kind of approach to it... a bit confused i'll add... I then went over it during my free period. Some of my friends helped and commented. Some said, nobody's going to listen, we've all heard it before, other's said don't be too moany.. all that kind of stuff.
About 10 mins before the assembly i went down to get ready. The headboy and headgirl were both there, saying the doors hadn't been opened yet. (I'm deputy headgirl- btw) So we waited outside, while i told the headboy what i was planning to say. He said, no you need to say more about blah blah blah... and he started telling me to add all this stuff in pretty much last minute! So i was pretty thrown... I tried arguing back on some points saying they weren't really necessary, and how people don't want to listen to a moan, they wanna be hearing a student on their side just informing them. I kinda panicked a bit...
Anyway, we're in the assembly room, and our teacher is rambling on about stuff for a while... blah blah blah.... and for some reason i can feel my heart thudding quite loudly- and i'm thinking, 'what the heck?' i've done tons of assemblies before, why am i so nervous? anyway, the thudding died down before i came on... thank goodness...
started with saying 'hi guys, just wanna talk about the sixthform and keeping it clean an tidy'- and gave a huge smile. And it went really well! At one point there was a bit of applause- when i dramatically mentioned one of the prefects amazing dishwasher rota timetables... lol.... and then at the end, i said 'yeah, that's it, thanks!'- and they clapped! :D at which i giggled a little bit before introducing the headboy to talk about whatever he was talking about.
Anyway, moral of the story is, Face your fears! It was great! Got tons of really nice, supportive feedback from my fellow lovely peers! Man, i love my year!

So, just finished my AS exams last week. (didn't go amazingly well- but pretty well considering how long i left revision, which was about two nights before for each)- typical...
anyway, started the A2 courses today! they were okay. Physics at 8:30 in the morning... always a fun thing to do. :( i still haven't grown to love physics completely. Something i'm hoping will happen next year when i HAVE to take it!
Then, during most of my drama lesson had the Cervical Vaccine jab- nr. 2. Which was super fun! actually, i don't really mind needles- and it did not hurt much at all!
Then a maths lesson... trigonometry, learning new concepts and graphs and asymptotes, such as cot, cosec and sec... wow.... maths looks like it's going to be a crazy one next year!
uhm.. let's see, then chemistry- which actually looks like it's going to be pretty interesting! I really like chemistry! :D
yup- sadly i must leave the exciting and captivating world of theatre and drama behind- as i delve into a whole new world of heavy science and maths subjects... joy!

yup, i've now created a blog! so join me, as i begin this exciting new chapter of my life... blah blah.. all that stuff....
